Re-Imagine: Sketchbook Projects offers support for visual artists seeking to develop and enhance their studio work through robust sketchbook research. Conceptual and technical skills are explored through weekly Environments prompts that focus on the expressive forces found in the natural world, current ecological concerns, and other related subjects of interest. Artists work with a wide range of materials and approaches and are encouraged to explore their visual research in studio projects beyond the sketchbook.
Weekly Tuesday night Zoom meetings allow participants to work together as a group and share artwork with a dedicated community of artists. One individual 1-hour in person or online mentoring session is included and can be scheduled with the instructor on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday in March (no meetings will be scheduled on March 20, 21, 22). Re-imagining and creating new visual worlds while maintaining a vibrant sketchbook practice is the goal of this course.
