Participants in this online workshop will explore the rhythmic flow of asemic drawing to create water-inspired drawings and paintings. Working from photographs, videos, and memory, asemic drawing will be used as a foundation for expressing the kinetic energy found in lakes, rivers, streams, and seas. Working with pencil, ink, and watercolor, additional layers of line and color will offer expressive opportunities for creating images with dynamic flow, pattern, and color.
Drawing pencils, pens, and paper will be provided but students are required to provide their own watercolors and brushes.
This online workshop is open to students of all levels. No prior drawing or painting experience is required.
