Re-Imagine: Studio Projects

April 1 - 26, 2024

Re-Imagine: Visual Environments offers support for artists seeking to expand their studio practices through sketchbook research, material explorations, and subject matter development. Conceptual and technical skills are explored through weekly Environments sketchbook prompts that focus on the expressive forces found in the natural world, current ecological concerns, and other related subjects of interest. Artists work with a wide range of materials, methods, and approaches and build on this research to develop more in-depth work beyond the sketchbook.

Weekly Tuesday night Zoom meetings allow participants to work together, share ideas, and view and discuss their art with a dedicated community of artists. Three individual 1-on-1 mentoring sessions are included and can be scheduled online or in-person on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays in April. Re-imagining and creating new visual worlds while maintaining a vibrant sketchbook practice is the goal of this course.
